Established in 2012, the Mayo College Girls' School Model United Nations conference has been dedicated to inspiring and empowering youth for a brighter future. Renowned as one of the prestigious and largest conferences among IPSC schools in India, MCGSMUN has hosted over 2000 delegates over the span of the past 12 years. The inaugural conference hosted 150 delegates across five foundational committees. This year, in its 12th edition, MCGSMUN returns with an expanded array of committees and agendas, gaining particular significance in the current geopolitical scenario, resonating with the prevailing challenges and chasms in today's society. From dissidents silenced by oppression to marginalised communities grappling with injustice, from the silent cries of neglected children to urban landscapes ravaged by climate extremes; 

Thus, guided by the principle of "तमसो मा ज्योतिर्गमय," we anticipate delegates to unite and, aligning with this philosophy, steer global dynamics towards illumination. Their collective endeavour should be to transform the current state into a positive one, contributing significantly to the betterment of our world. In the pursuit of making the world a better place to thrive, MCGSMUN 2024 earnestly endeavours to address, analyse and solve these pressing issues. Through fostering dialogue and communication, the aim of the conference is to illuminate the path toward positive change.
